`Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

        •        Participants must be 18 years or older. For the Student Counseling Program, parental consent is mandatory if the participant is below 18.

        •        Each participant must complete an intake form and agree to a preliminary 15-minute suitability consultation before the program begins.

2. Confidentiality and Privacy

        •        All therapy sessions are confidential, following international mental health and privacy laws 

        •        Information shared during sessions will not be disclosed to any third party without the participant’s explicit written consent, except where required by law (e.g., risk of harm to self or others).

        •        Session recordings are not permitted unless mutually agreed upon in writing.

3. Session Scheduling and Attendance

        •        Participants must adhere to the scheduled weekly sessions. Sessions must be used consecutively over 6 weeks, unless otherwise discussed.

        •        If a participant is late by more than 15 minutes without notice, the session may be considered forfeited.

        •        Up to 1 reschedule per program is allowed with at least 24 hours’ notice. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows will be counted as used sessions.

4. Payment Policy

        •        Full program payment (AED 1,800) is to be made prior to the start of the first session.

        •        An option to split payment into two installments is available: 50% before Week 1 and the remaining 50% before Week 3.

        •        Payments are non-refundable once the program has commenced.

5. Therapist Substitution and Continuity

        •        In rare cases of therapist unavailability, a qualified substitute may be offered with prior notice. Participants will have the right to reschedule or request a refund for any unused sessions if dissatisfied.

6. Program Suitability and Referrals

        •        These programs are designed for mild to moderate mental health concerns.

If a participant presents with conditions outside the scope of the program (e.g., severe depression, psychosis, substance dependence), they will be respectfully referred to specialized care.

        •        Participation does not constitute psychiatric treatment or crisis intervention.

7. Termination of Program

        •        The program may be terminated by the therapist in case of:

        •        Repeated cancellations or disruptive behavior

        •        Non-payment or breach of confidentiality terms

        •        Identification of a higher level of care being necessary

        •        A pro-rated refund may be offered for unused sessions in case of therapist-initiated termination (excluding cases of participant misconduct).

8. Technology Requirements

        •        Participants are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a private space for online therapy.

        •        Technical difficulties that lead to a missed session due to the participant’s device or connection issues will be considered a used session if not communicated ahead of time.

9. Post-Program Support

        •        Optional follow-up check-ins (30 mins, paid separately) can be scheduled within 3 months of program completion.

        •        The therapist may provide maintenance resources or referrals for continued care.
